The kit is designed to isolate plasmid DNA from bacteria.
The principle of operation of the kit is based on alkaline lysis of the biomaterial treated with RNase, followed by selective binding of DNA from clarified lysate on a siliconized column membrane. At the lysis stage, bacterial cell walls are destroyed, proteins and genomic DNA are denatured. Neutralizing the alkali leads to the formation of a light curd suspension consisting of debris, proteins and genomic DNA, plasmid DNA remains in solution. After application to the column membrane, plasmid DNA sorption occurs, while the remaining impurities in the form of salts, metabolites, lipids, etc. they are removed at the washing stage. At the final stage, plasmid DNA is eluted from the membrane into the solution.The colored solutions in the kit allow you to control the correct order of adding components, the completeness of lysis and neutralization.
