Genta-T4 DNA ligase

Genta-T4 DNA ligase is a recombinant enzyme that catalyzes the formation of a phosphodiester bond between the 5`-phosphate and 3`-hydroxyl terminal groups of double-stranded DNA.

Isolated from a strain of Escherichia coli expressing bacteriophage T4 DNA ligase gene.

DNA ligase crosslinks both sticky and blunt ends and can repair single strand breaks in double strands of DNA, RNA, or DNA/RNA hybrids.

Main Features:
- Ligation reaction conditions 10-20 minutes at 16°C, 100 - 400 units. T4 DNA ligases. ATP is required as a cofactor.
- Inactivation of T4 DNA ligase: 10 minutes at 65°C or 5 minutes at 70°C.

Reaction buffer (1x): 50 mM Tris/HCl (pH 7.5 at 25° C.); 10 mM MgCl2; 1 mM ATP; 10 mM DTT.
Storage temperature: from minus 24°С to minus 16°С.
Storage buffer: 25 mM HEPES/NaOH (pH 7.9 at 25°C); 100 mM KCl; 1 mM DTT; 0.1 mM EDTA; 50% glycerin.
